This is a K-type thermocouple extension wire used to hook up high temperature K-type thermocouples used in kilns, furnaces and ovens. It works well with the high temperature thermocouple with ceramic insulation, model CR-02. This wire uses solid AWG 24 leads with fiberglass insulation, which is stable up to 750 degree Fahrenheit or 400 degree Celsius. The wires are color codes, yellow for + and red for – (ANSI conform). This lead has a miniature K-type connector, which works with most digital k-type thermometers. If you want to use it with a temperature controller, the connector can be removed and the wires can be attached to the screw terminals.
